Pendant l'année académique 2023-2024, l'initiative pédagogique innovante "Aetherotopias" a transformé le paysage éducatif de l'atelier de conception architecturale "Hétérotopies Climatiques". Organisée par Lazaros Mavromatidis dans le cadre du projet e-CREHA, cette série de huit journées thématiques interdisciplinaires a eu lieu d'octobre 2023 à mai 2024. Son objectif principal : enrichir et faire évoluer l'apprentissage conventionnel en architecture en y intégrant des connaissances transdisciplinaires et en favorisant une approche d'apprentissage par projets. Ainsi, la semaine du 17 juin au 25 juin 2024 sera une semaine où chaque jour une rétrospective de chaque journée thématique sera publiée.
Une innovation pédagogique au service de l’apprentissage
La révélation de la plateforme éducative e-CREHA, le 24 novembre 2023, a marqué un moment charnière pour cette initiative. Cette plateforme a introduit de nouvelles perspectives pour l’apprentissage par projets, en offrant des ressources et des outils permettant une intégration transparente de diverses disciplines. « Aetherotopias » a soutenu cette approche novatrice, visant à rehausser l’enseignement traditionnel par une ouverture aux sciences humaines, à la musique, et aux sciences de l’ingénieur.
Les journées thématiques : un programme riche et dynamique
Les huit journées thématiques d’ « Aetherotopias » ont été soigneusement conçues pour encourager l’interdisciplinarité et la collaboration entre les étudiants, les enseignants-chercheurs et les professionnels de différents domaines. Chaque journée s’est concentrée sur un thème spécifique, allant de l’impact climatique sur l’architecture à l’influence de la musique sur la conception des espaces, en passant par les avancées technologiques en ingénierie et les apports des sciences humaines. Ces journées, basées sur une ouverture à l’international, ont proposé des conférences, des ateliers de conception architecturale et des dialogues socratiques, permettant une immersion totale dans chaque sujet abordé.

Le programme visait à combler le fossé entre différentes disciplines, en encourageant la pensée innovante. Cette approche interdisciplinaire a non seulement élargi les connaissances des participants, mais les a également inspirés à appliquer ces diverses perspectives dans leur propre travail. En intégrant diverses disciplines, « Aetherotopias » a promu une expérience éducative holistique qui met en avant l’interconnexion des savoirs. L’initiative avait pour objectif de cultiver un esprit de collaboration et de favoriser une communauté d’apprenants capables de penser de manière critique et créative au-delà des frontières traditionnelles.
Objectif international : étendre l’influence de l’atelier
L’un des objectifs majeurs de cette initiative a été d’étendre l’influence de l’atelier « Hétérotopies Climatiques » à l’échelle internationale. En intégrant des perspectives globales et en encourageant les échanges culturels et intellectuels, « Aetherotopias » a cherché à positionner cet atelier comme un leader dans l’innovation pédagogique en architecture.

Une semaine de rétrospectives
Pour célébrer et partager les riches enseignements de cette initiative, une semaine spéciale de rétrospectives sera organisée du 17 au 25 juin 2024. Chaque jour, une rétrospective détaillée d’une des huit journées thématiques sera publiée. Cette série d’articles mettra en lumière les moments forts, les discussions marquantes et les principales contributions de chaque journée.

THEMATIC DAYS – AETHEROTOPIAS Edition 2023-2024: A Week of Retrospectives (June 17, 2024 – June 25, 2024)
During the academic year 2023-2024, the innovative educational initiative « Aetherotopias » transformed the educational landscape of the architectural design workshop « Climatic Heterotopias ». Organized by Lazaros Mavromatidis as part of the e-CREHA project, this series of eight interdisciplinary thematic days took place from October 2023 to May 2024. Its primary objective was to enrich and evolve conventional architectural learning by integrating transdisciplinary knowledge and fostering a project-based learning approach. Therefore, the week of 17.06.2024 – 25.06.2024 will be a week during which a retrospective of each thematic day will be published daily.
A PEDAGOGICAL INNOVATION IN SERVICE OF LEARNING
The unveiling of the e-CREHA educational platform on November 24, 2023, marked a pivotal moment for this initiative. This platform introduced new perspectives for project-based learning by offering resources and tools that enable a seamless integration of various disciplines. « Aetherotopias » supported this innovative approach, aiming to enhance traditional education through an openness to the humanities, music, and engineering sciences.

THEMATIC DAYS: A RICH AND DYNAMIC PROGRAM
The eight thematic days of « Aetherotopias » were carefully designed to encourage interdisciplinarity and collaboration among students, academic researchers, and professionals from various fields. Each day focused on a specific theme, ranging from the climatic impact on architecture to the influence of music on spatial design, alongside technological advancements in engineering and contributions from the humanities. These days featured lectures, architectural design workshops, and Socratic dialogues, allowing for a deep immersion into each topic.

The program aimed to bridge the gap between different disciplines by fostering innovative thinking. This interdisciplinary approach not only broadened participants’ knowledge but also inspired them to apply these diverse perspectives in their own work. By integrating various disciplines, « Aetherotopias » promoted a holistic educational experience that highlighted the interconnectedness of knowledge. The initiative aimed to cultivate a spirit of collaboration and nurture a community of learners capable of thinking critically and creatively beyond traditional boundaries.
INTERNATIONAL OBJECTIVE: EXPANDING THE WORKSHOP’S INFLUENCE
One of the main goals of this initiative was to extend the influence of the « Climatic Heterotopias » workshop internationally. By integrating global perspectives and encouraging cultural and intellectual exchanges, « Aetherotopias » aimed to position this workshop as a leader in pedagogical innovation in architecture.
